Dream to Fly

How many times have you dreamt that you were flying? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have wings? Discover the great secret of flying with Leonardo da Vinci, the Montgolfier brothers, the Wright brothers and other aviation pioneers. ‘Dream to Fly’ is an amazing adventure with science and the history of aviation, which will enable you to fly a balloon, an airship and a plane. The dream to fly has raised the man even further – into the outer space. We will also visit a space station and fly a rocket. So how many times have you dreamt that you were flying? Dreams sometimes come true…

Paulina Majda
Animation film director, fulldome director, art director and set designer with 15 years of industry experience working in animation, fulldome, film and art. Paulina graduated from the Polish Film School in Lodz at faculty of Animation.
She also studied at the Danish Animation Workshop in Viborg. At present she is Ph.D candidate at the Polish Film School in Lodz. Paulina is director of 8 animations. She was also art director for Oscar winning puppet animation “Peter and The Wolf” directed by Suzie Templeton. At the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw she directed prize-winning fulldome animations “Hello Earth” (2017) and “Dream to Fly” (2013), which have been warmly accepted by international audience and screen at the fulldome festivals worldwide.

O Céu como Patrimônio

This documentary explores the founding character of heaven as an element of formation of cultures and as a motivation for the search for knowledge in its various manifestations, such as myths, art, science and philosophy.
From a poetic and polyphonic approach that places different knowledge in dialogue and avoids hierarchies and dichotomies, the film proposes an understanding of heaven as an asset in an expanded sense, that is, a good that is both natural and cultural.
The exploration of photographic and videographic images with fisheye lens seeks to value the dimension of the human experience of observation and contemplation of the sky, inviting the viewer to rethink its relation with the firmament and to strengthen ties often weakened in the contemporary context.

Maurício Silva Gino
Professor of the Department of Photography, Theater and Cinema of the School of Fine Arts of UFMG. He has experience in the field of Arts, with emphasis on Animation Cinema, acting mainly in the following subjects: animation, cinema, analogies and metaphors, image and objects of learning. Since 2014 he coordinates the Audiovisual Center of the UFMG Knowledge Space.
Vitor Amaro Lacerda
Graduated in History and Cinema of Animation and Digital Arts by UFMG. He is an Audiovisual Advisor of the UFMG Knowledge Space and has been working since 2012 with research and production for Digital Facade and Fulldome Planetarium

Hello Earth

Seeking contact with others remains one of the earliest and strongest humans’ needs. By trying to fulfill this need, we invented writing, radio, telephone and finally – the Internet. We overcame language barriers, problems related to distance and information flow time. Thanks to modern technologies and communication devices, we develop our civilization – we are changing the world and ourselves.

Belisario, the Little Big Hero of the Cosmos

The film tells the story of the adventures of a little astronaut mouse, who travels through time to register his name in Argentina’s Astronautics history. Throughout his trips, he will witness the most relevant events and face unforeseen dangers that he will need to overcome.

Hernán Moyano
Hernán Moyano (Director and Screenwriter) has created the genre film production company Paura Flics. As producer and film editor, he was part of the films “Grite una Noche”, “Caja de Acertijos”, “36 Pasos”, “No Moriré Sola”, “Masacre esta Noche”, “SudorFrío” and “Penumbra”. Today, he is in charge of the genre films production company “Cut to the Chase”.
Pablo Santamaría
(Producer and Screenwriter) is the Audiovisual Production Coordinator of the City of La Plata’s Planetarium, He has produced the fulldome movies “Viaje a la Luna” and “Luminaciones” for the City of La Plata’s Planetarium. He is currently working on the animated fulldome series “Belisario” and and the documentary film “El camino eterno”, in which he is also the co-screenwriter.
